Hotel Dewey

Good overall experience. Location is excellent. No pool, but on-site parking included. Employees are very nice and helpful. Rooms are nice, but bathrooms need updating. AC is extremely noisy and pillows are terrible. Would rent there again.

I'll start with the important things. - It's very clean. Bed sheets are snow white and smell like laundry. The way everything is tucked and folded is beautiful and no dusty carpet. Shower is clean and so is the bathroom. - This hotel is basic in the best kind of way. All necessities are in the room such as soap, shampoo, fridge, towels, microwave, coffee maker, coffee, etc. and a nice balcony. WIFI too with TV, WIFI isn't basic, it's fast. - There is plenty of free parking on hotel property. - The location is amazing, close to everything. - Friendly staff But there is one suggestion I would like to make to the owners reading this/ to future customers (to make stay feel more comfortable): There needs to be a pot or a fry pan or both, because there is an electrical stove but no pans or pots, what if we want to save on food and make some omelet inside? For now I would definitely suggest bringing your own little pot or fry pan if you plan on making a little something to save a buck. overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel.

When you think diamond in the rough, this place will come to mind. Exterior is in need of a facelift ( I'm I'm sure it's coming) but the interior is excellent! You can't hear the noise from the main drag, the rooms are clean, updated and the staff is awesome. I really can't complain at all. Recently renovated with more on the way, this place is a real hidden gem. Mindy was an excellent manager and was super accommodating.

I had such a wonderful experience at Hotel Dewey and Mindy couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! I was supposed to stay at another hotel in the area and they didn't have my reservation when I went to check in - and blamed it on me. I had my dog with me so I had to find another hotel on a busy summer weekend and Hotel Dewey had one room left. My room was ready so they let me check in really early because I had my dog, Mindy felt so bad for me given the circumstances, waived the pet fee and let my friend who came down park in their lot as well. Mindy went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I will 100% stay there again as the other hotel was extremely rude and not accommodating. Thank you!

Staff very friendly, pleasant to deal with. AC not working but it wasn't too warm out so it was ok, I told the staff the night before we checked out. Great location, everything you need is in walking distance. Pretty basic but I would go back there again. Good value for the price.

This place is very quickly becoming a diamond. They have been making regular improvements and you can tell. I absolutely love being able to walk directly to the beach, and 4 places to eat right in the block.

Remember those great hotels in Hong Kong, Honolulu and San Francisco where the lobby was an experience? Reading the morning paper by the fireplace and sipping a second cup of coffee. Fade to black. Today escaping the miasma of our time an overnight jaunt to the shore does the trick for me. But sampling hotels of Atlantic City and down the coast, I’ve returned to my townhouse two hours away swearing never to return. The plush Hilton had departed taking the brass polish, carpets and staff with it. Only a string of motel rooms, walls of the fifties remained except for one jewel of promise just down the coast, the Hotel Dewey. The owner Mandy with her boys at the helm have finally made my erstwhile overnight forced marches to surf and sand a pleasure. Smiling from behind the office glass I was welcomed. “We’re remodelling and all of the rooms next year will be finished. “came her smiling announcement in a vigorous spirit of enterprise. The Dewey was the last part of my itinerary that made it all work. Success. A spotless shore-white property on the coast highway footsteps away from the beach or bay side and the Rusty Rudder restaurant. My older room was spotless, shower and bath, microwave, stove and coffee maker was sufficient. The Bellagio luxury is up the coast, but The Dewey, by ferry to Dewey Beach, Delaware finally ended my search for a yearly pilgrimage for sea air. The combination, Cape May Ferry to Lewes, Delaware, beach time, Hotel Dewey check-in, more beach time, dinner, a movie via wi-fi, beach time next morning, check out at Eleven, beach time, lunch and a return ferry to Cape May wrapped a very nice relaxing two or three day respite before heading home. See yas at the Hotel Dewey, season starts May 1.
